ABOUT THIS SERIES
We’ve all heard it before. “Be bold!” “Don’t be ashamed!” “Take a stand!” But let’s be honest. Being bold about your faith can be awkward, intimidating, or just plain terrifying—especially when you’re a teenager who’s already feeling pressure to be liked and accepted. In this 4-week series, you’ll acknowledge that challenge, then encourage students to grow in their boldness as you walk through a few key stories in the book of Daniel. These four stories help us see that being bold begins when we fill up on God, surround ourselves with like-minded people, choose peace even when it’s difficult, and practice boldness consistently.
THIS SERIES AT A GLANCE
Week One: Fill up on God first
This week, you’ll introduce your students to the story of Daniel as you challenge students to prioritize the ways of God instead of the ways of the world.
Week Two: Be bold together
This week, you’ll introduce your students to Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego as you help them see that it’s easier to be bold together than it is to be bold on our own.
Week Three: Choose peace in the pit
This week, you’ll tell your students the story of Daniel in the lions’ den as you help them see that peace can be found even in the darkest moments.
Week Four: Be bold consistently
This week, you’ll revisit the stories you’ve already covered in this series as you help students see that we can grow in boldness by practicing boldness, like Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego did.
