ABOUT THE SERIES
If you’ve been following Jesus for some time, you know it’s often easy to become numb to just how controversial Jesus’ message and ministry actually were while He was on earth. Jesus made enemies of both religious leaders and the government in part because of the way He treated the most “untouchable” members of society. In this series, you’ll help students see and explore the significance of the fact that Jesus ate with the despised, valued the outcasts, restored the sinful, and forgave the unforgivable.

THIS SERIES AT A GLANCE
Week One: Jesus ate with the despised.
This week, you’ll share the story of Zacchaeus as you help students see that Jesus didn’t avoid the people everyone else despised — He invited Himself over for dinner.

Week Two: Jesus valued the outcasts.
This week, you’ll share the story of the sick woman who touched Jesus’ robe as you help students see that Jesus didn’t ignore the people society had cast out — He told them (and everyone else) how much they mattered.

Week Three: Jesus restored the sinful.
This week, you’ll share the story of the woman caught in adultery as you help students see that Jesus didn’t come to condemn sinners, but to restore them with second chances.

Week Four: Jesus forgave the unforgivable.
This week, you’ll share the story of Jesus’ crucifixion between two criminals as you help students see that Jesus didn’t hate or give up on even the most unforgivable of sinners — He offered them love and forgiveness.
