Would you like to make a difference in the lives of someone outside of your own neighborhood? On Saturday, August 10, you have an opportunity to be one of the Crossroaders joining a team of 12,000 volunteers who will be serving in the Central High School neighborhood. Central is Detroit’s first high school and the neighborhood is the community where Detroit’s civil unrest began 50 years ago. Volunteer activities include: mowing overgrown grass and weeds, cutting brush, removing refuse, painting, and planting. Teams will depart from the BSB parking lot, 119 N Broad Street, Adrian, at 7 a.m. and will return around 5:15 p.m. If you would like to serve at this event, please sign up at the What’s Happening Center.
